Interior Home Renovation – Overall experience with Ivic Construction team was great. They renovated and completely transformed part of our house. They relocated our bathroom to make space for a bigger bedroom with walk in closet. All was completed on time and on budget. The team and subcontractors are professionals with focus on quality work and customer satisfaction. We highly recommend the company to anyone who is planning a home renovation. ~~~ Jozef
Main floor, kitchen, bathroom, structural work, opening back of house – They worked on my parents’ kitchen in 2012 and they have been very happy with his work. We had reached out to many contractors and They was an obvious choice for us. Not only was he extremely thorough in his walkthrough of our house, but he was very pragmatic about his assessment. Everything he said he was going to do, he did. His team was all very friendly and did wonderful work. They took down a wall inside the house as well as the back wall of our house, leveled the 2nd and main floor by sistering joists, replaced the knob and tube, plumbing work, upstairs bathroom with steam shower and glass, tiling, main floor – flooring, heating, glass doors at the back of the house, gas line adjustment, roofing, electrical work throughout the house for new fixtures. Basically redid half the house. His estimates for time were quire accurate – our delays were our own fault for not having picked out floors and fixtures. Easy to contact and always happy to chat through why he felt we should do things a certain way. I would 100% recommend them – even after he finished, he still told us that he would come back and fix anything if we find problems with anything. ~~~ Gregg
Extensive Home Renovation – Ivic Construction was selected after received quotes from 4 different general contractors and one firm that provides Project Management services. Our house renovation was extensive, with a number of complex structural changes to create large windows and sliding door at the back of the house. Walls were removed, fireplace was relocated, beams that weighed several tons were installed and posts were moved in the basement. We also had challenging carpentry with dry wall return frames for the windows. Dragan and his crew did an amazing job at managing this complex project, with lots of changes over a 9 month period. Even under stress, Dragan always remained calm and approached each problem with professionalism and coming to the table with potential solutions. His crew demonstrated they cared about the project, always leaving the home clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Ivic Construction to anyone starting a large home renovation project. ~~~ Elani
Renovation of our Veterinary Practice – I never have met such a professional reno team , having a veterinary practice , it was very important to make sure that the practice stays functional during the renovation with the least amount of disturbance for our clients and patients. Major Reno – Gut And Addition – We consider ourselves very fortunate to have worked with Dragan and his team at Ivic Construction (Goran, Alain, Jorge and Erik). We really could not have asked for a better contractor. We were referred to him from friends who had hired him to complete a large renovation in their home. We were very focused on getting the right contractor as we were gutting our house and putting a 400 square foot addition on the second floor. We were so impressed, not only with the work his team did on our friend’s home, but with the way in which our friend told us he handled any issues that came up. After getting quotes from two other contractors, we decided to go with Dragan. The difference in the cost he quoted us was just a tiny bit higher, but he also was not charging for things like extra pot lights. What we most appreciated about Dragan was that he was attentive, flexible, and did everything in his power to make sure we were happy with our home. For instance, we had to change our start date, which he kindly accommodated (which I know is challenging for contractors especially when weather plays a factor). We also requested that we meet every two weeks at the house to go through the work and discuss any upcoming concerns. He gladly did so and was also very flexible in meeting with us when it was convenient for us. Once we moved in, there was an incident one evening with a leak in the washroom (which was not a leak, but an accident caused by water splashing out of the tub and onto the floor). Dragan was on holiday when it happened, and we called him in a panic. He immediately responded and one of his crew members came to the house early the next morning to take a look. We also had some issues with the way our tiles were installed – Dragan did not stop providing solutions until we were fully satisfied. He also sent his crew to our home after the reno to help deal with some cracks we noticed in our beams (at no extra charge). And, most importantly, we were told the reno would take about 9 months and 9 months later, our home was ready. I know that if I were to call Dragan with an issue even now, 1.5 years after the reno, he would respond. Overall, we love our home and are so glad that we chose Ivic Construction for our reno, therefore, we highly recommend them. ~~~ Tina

Roof Replacement – We hired Ivic Construction to replace our roofs on our home. The owner, Dragan came to our home the very next and gave us a free quote. He was able to finish all 3 of our roofs in a single day. They have a big crew and work fast but also do a good job. Dragan and his crew do great work in a very efficient manner. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a major renovation in a fairly short amount of time. ~~~ John Force

Deck in our backyard – Ivic Construction has built a deck in our backyard. The entire process from the initial review of the job with the company owner, Dragan, until the very last bit of work was a great, positive experience. They started the very same day they said they would and they finished the very same day they estimated they would be done (how often that happens ??). Professional expertise and the work ethic of the entire team were impressive. Dragan was visiting the site every morning, reviewing with the team and with us the work done and the work to be done that day. He was very accommodating for any last minute design changes/additions to the initial plan which we had a couple times. Along the way Dragan was thinking through every step how to make it perfect, as he was building a deck for himself. So, the service was great, and equally the quality of the workmanship, and the quality of the final product is impeccable. All of this came with a very competitive price out of many estimates we had collected. All in all, extremely positive experience. We would recommend Ivic Construction to everybody. ~~~ Nena, Toronto
Addition, main and second floor renovation – Dragan and his team did an excellent job on all aspects of our renovation. Our project was completed on time and sub-contactors’ jobs were well-coordinated to make sure that no time was lost. The price met the range we had agreed on, which included multiple add-ons as the work progressed.

Basement renovation and new bathroom – The project involved completely gutting the basement; replacing the drainage plumbing and installing a backflow valve; installing weeping tiles, a sump pump and a waterproof membrane down the walls and across the floor; roughing in the plumbing for a new basement bathroom; framing and drywall, taping, plastering and painting; electrical wiring for lights, washer, dryer, exhaust fan; and doing the finishing plumbing for the bathroom and installing toilet, vanity, shower stall, etc. The complex project involved detailed planning and coordinating the activities of several teams of tradesmen. The work proceeded at a steady pace and was completed in a timely fashion. All the work was well done by skilled tradesmen, and I am very pleased with the end result. Hardwood Flooring and Bathroom Update – I had the carpetting in my 2 bedroom condo replaced with engineered hardwood flooring, as well as a bathroom upgrade. The work was done as stated in approx. 10 days and exactly on budget. Everyone was professional, efficient, hardworking, friendly and always on time. A licensed plumber and electrician were brought in when needed. It was a pleasure to deal with Dragan and his team (Don, Alen, Mario, Dan and Tony). Reno With Addition – My husband and I were debating whether to renovate or move. We have been in the same house for 28 years and had undergone a number of renovations prior to contacting Ivic Construction. Every reno caused major aggravation and a vow never to embark on another one. I had noticed 2 renos further down our street which looked fabulous from the outside, both done by Ivic Construction. I was invited in to one of the houses which had a 3 floor reno plus an addition. The owner of house raved about the company so we decided to explore further. We met with Dragan (owner) and knew he was the one. The scope of the work included a 12 foot addition to the back of the main floor and basement; removal of the supporting wall between the kitchen and dining room to have an open concept; complete kitchen reno (walls, ceiling, new appliances, counter top and cupboards); hardwood floors throughout the whole main floor, all new lighting; installing of 2 gas fireplaces; complete reno of upstairs bathroom; moving air vents; new closet in the front hall; deck on the back; complete tear down and rebuild of the front porch including new foundations, brick pillars, cedar porch; new roof; new cedar shingles wrapping around the house; plus many other changes. The job was completed within 6 months (we moved out for 3). We were beyond impressed with the quality of the work and the workers. Every tradesman he brought in was excellent. Kitchen Renovation in Toronto – This was a total gutting of kitchen, new powder room and closet in front hall including all electrical and plumbing, painting several rooms and repair of incidental plumbing issues elsewhere. The workmen were superb from start to finish. They were on schedule and responsible. The workers always made sure that the work site was left clean and orderly and even though we remained in the house during the renovation they made sure it was as livable as possible. Dragan was an absolute gentleman in all regards: easy to talk to, always returned calls in a timely fashion and was always calm and able to find solutions to unexpected problems. The project came in on budget and and also time. I have absolutely no complaints about the work and would have no hesitation to recommend Ivic construction and would definitely refer him to others. I have used other workmen in the past for a variety of renovations and have always had issues but this project was the largest yet most satisfying mostly because of the construction group.
Home Renovation at Wayland Ave., Toronto – Ivic Construction did a fabulous job on my home renovation which included removing a wall, two ceilings and 3 floors. I have an old home which had some unexpected surprises but Dragan and his team did a fantastic job of identifying and dealing with the issues in an effective and cost conscious manner. They were flexible and very accommodating to my frequent changes and last minute decisions which meant I now have the house I love. They were on time within budget and delivered exceptional quality. I would highly recommend Ivic Construction for a home renovation and would definitely use them again if the need arose.

28 Melrose Review – We had what was a crawl space in our basement dug out for a 20×20 rec room, and storage rooms added to the existing basement. We were thrilled with the work that was done, and very happy with Ivic Construction. Dragan and his team were wonderful, we loved all the subcontractors, the work was done on time and on budget. Very clean, little disruption to our lives, professional, friendly. Happy to have this group in our home for 3 months. We give this group the highest recommendation and would not hesitate to use them again.
Fantastic Job – We have used Ivic a few times over the last few years, most recently for basement digout/underpining/reno work. They were not the first contractors we’ve used in our life, which probably explains why we feel we can truly appreciate just how good they are.
For one, the quality of their work is irreproachable. They were very few times when slight post-construction glitches arose, and when those occurred, Ivic was very prompt in fixing those, at no extra cost to us. They really do believe, an act upon, keeping the customer happy. As pointed out by other reviewers, Ivic meets budgeted estimates, both for costs and timeline. They’ve done it consistently each time we’ve used them. And their costs are reasonable and have, in our experience, been in line with other quoted estimates.
Moreover, they excel at Communication. This is perhaps the strength that is least valued of a contractor, until you deal with one that is poor at it. From the get go, when the on-site visit takes place, Ivic is very good at proactively identifying potential issues that may arise and that clients don’t necessarily think about. The work scope, and associated pricing, is well detailed. Perhaps even more importantly, communications during the work phase has always been very good. Any issues that come up are communicated quickly, along with proposed ways to handle them. We also found that Ivic knew their way well with City inspectors and other relevant bureaucrats that need to be involved, which you can only really value when you go through a bad experience with one of those.
Finally, the crew is very professional and courteous. We’ve found that the same guys have worked on our projects over time, which speaks well of their relationship with their employer and of the quality of work and service you can expect to get. No seasonal non-English-speaking cheap-labor coming on a 3month work permit, who doesn’t really care about the quality of their work. We felt every single Ivic employee was quite proud of their work, which counts a lot for us as well.
We have recommended Ivic to a number of friends and colleagues, and are very happy to do this at large through this posting.
From the Initial Estimate to the Final finishing Touches, the Experience with ‘Ivic Construction’ was the First Class all the way. – The Company, owned and lead by Dragan Ivic, did an Exceptional job. Honest, Straight, Persistent and Consistent would be just a few epithets that we would add to the Professionalism Dragan has demonstrated. Every Phone Call was Answered or Returned in a timely manner, every E-mail was Responded, No Items were Dropped Off. Work progress Follow-Ups were taking place on Daily bases. All the time we felt (and still feel) we were treated Fairly and Respectfully, but most interestingly ‘Protected’ and ‘Secured’; weird but true. From the Residential Development point of view, our project was Large and Complex. A complete, 90 year old House Renovation, with Expansion at the back and up to the 3rd story. All the components of the house were touched and many significantly modified. All the work was done within the Estimated and Agreed: Time-Lines, Budget and Quality. In the project of that size and nature not all the things can go smoothly but what was made them smoothen, less harsh, was the way how they were handled. With all the Exceptional Experience, described here, please NOTE that handling that kind of project is a ‘TWO-WAY Road’; there must be Collaboration from ALL the parties being involved; but with Dragan it’s not that difficult to achieve. Done on Time & Budget – Thanks again for excellent work and getting it done on time and within a budget. After dealing with different contractors for over a decade and headache with unprofessional / unlicensed subcontractors my home renovations always ended up very costly and job was not done the way I expected to be. Recently I bought a new place and had to completely renovate bathroom, kitchen and floor. I got recommendation for Ivic Construction and what a difference from day one !!! I was pleasantly surprised with how scope of the work was defined. Timing of the project was perfect and his team always did everything possible to adjust their schedule to ours. They definitely set the merit for the quality and I was really impressed. On the end I even ended up paying 6% less what was originally estimated by using suppliers that Dragan recommended.
Ivic is great consultant – We used Ivic Construction in 2010 for a basement digging out in 2010. We shopped around for different contractors and we went with Ivic Construction and Dragan specifically not based on lowest price but based on recommendations and overall confidence in the process. My wife and I are very happy with the choice, the team at Ivic Construction were professional, considerate and went out of their way to make sure the job was done right. Ivic Construction is one of the winners in the business – My wife and I used them in 2010 for a basement digout and remodel.
